Product Features
-Contains the largest amount of Sangi-developed active ingredient "Medicated Hydroxyapatite <mHAP>" in the series.
-Medicated Hydroxyapatite" prevents caries through three actions: adsorption and removal of plaque, repair of invisible microscopic damage to tooth enamel (recrystallisation) and mineral replenishment (remineralization) of mineral defective areas (early caries) on the teeth.
-Brightening formula containing medicated hydroxyapatite and pearl ingredients (brightening agent: Hydrolysed conchiolin liquid) extracted from pearls and Akoya oysters.
-Contains the medicinal ingredients MACROGOL 400 and polyvinylpyrrolidone to remove stains.
-Prevents periodontal disease with two medicated ingredients: β-glycyrrhetinic acid, which reduces inflammation of the gums, and cetylpyridinium chloride, which has a bactericidal effect.
-Total care for the mouth, whitening teeth, preventing carious teeth, gum disease and bad breath. By keeping teeth in a healthy state, it brings out the whiteness and beauty of teeth.
-Mild, refreshing peppermint flavour.
-One-touch cap for easy one-handed opening and closing.

Indications/effects
Whitens teeth, prevents the formation and progression of carious teeth, prevents alveolar pyorrhoea, prevents gingivitis, prevents bad breath, removes tobacco smoke, purifies the mouth, freshens the mouth.

Flavour
Mild mint (peppermint).

Directions for use
Apply an appropriate amount (about 1 cm) to toothbrush and brush well so that the medicinal ingredients work. Brush carefully, especially before bedtime.

Action of medicated hydroxyapatite <mHAP>

1. Adsorption and removal of dental plaque
The protein adsorption capacity of HAP is generally known and has long been used in liquid chromatography. However, depending on the synthesis method (shape control), the adsorption power against bacteria differs and <mHAP> nanoparticles have an excellent adsorption power against bacteria. When brushing, the <mHAP> nanoparticles adsorb and remove plaque and oral bacteria from the tooth surfaces, making it easier to maintain the oral environment.

2. Filling of micro defects on tooth surfaces
<The nanoparticles of the <mHAP> fill and repair micro defects on the tooth surface, smoothing the surface and making it more difficult for plaque and stains to re-attach. The picture shows an enamel surface treated with <mHAP> after bleaching, where a step difference in surface thickness can be observed compared to the control surface (untreated surface) of the same tooth.

3. Remineralization of the sub-surface demineralised layer
<The nanoparticles of <mHAP> replenish minerals dissolved from beneath the enamel surface and remineralise areas of early caries; in vitro studies have shown a remineralising effect on the sub-surface demineralised layer, as shown in the picture. In a field trial conducted in three locations in the 1980s for the purpose of a regulatory application, the group using toothpaste containing <mHAP> showed a significantly lower incidence of dental caries compared to a control group without <mHAP>.
